An integral part of getting into a show is winning the audition - whether for that coveted lead role, the dance ensemble, or the bustling chorus, it's important that your child be prepared and to know what to expect.

Held from 12th - 14th January 2021, your child will have the opportunity to learn and to workshop songs and monologues in preparation for any musical theatre auditions that may lie ahead.

In addition, students will also learn good vocal practice and valuable audition techniques, building their confidence for the audition room - and beyond!

Hi, I'm Nikol
Singing & Musical Theatre Teacher with 20+ Years of Experience.
I am the owner and creator of my own singing studio - ngm studios (nikol georgette mckail, for those wondering). I have also had the pleasure of being the singing and musical theatre coach at the Sharon Lawrence Academy of Dance for over a decade now.
Lucky me, I've also worked for over 15 years with Music Theatre International and Hal Leonard Australia where I helped not only promote their catalogues of awesome musicals and plays, but I also facilitated workshops for students and teachers in Australia and New Zealand. Not to mention being fortunate enough to be an adjudicator at the Junior Theatre Festivals in Australia and Atlanta, USA - these are massive events attended by thousands of young, talented, theatre-hungry enthusiasts!

In this 3-day workshop, students will...

​Whether students wish to audition for professional shows, amateur shows or their own school production, this 3-day intensive workshop will provide them with new song repertoire (ballad and up-tempo) and a selection of monologues (drama and comedy) to study and memorise.
​
Take the last-minute panic and stress out of auditions!

During this workshop, participants will work on material from a selection of the latest musicals, like:
Disney's Frozen, Pippin, Billy Elliot The Secret Garden, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Hairspray, Dear Evan Hansen and songs and monologues appropriate for a range of auditions and their age.
In addition, participants will also learn good vocal practice and valuable audition techniques, building their confidence for the audition room - and beyond!

Held at the Sharon Lawrence Academy of Dance Studio in Cheltenham, students will enjoy a welcoming and warm environment in which they can relax, focus and meet like-minded performers.

​This 3-day workshop will run from 8:30am – 4:30pm and is open to ALL young performers but is best suited to those aged 10yrs - 15+yrs. Young performers of ALL levels of talent and experience are welcome.
Cost:
A$320.00
(Deposit of A$100.00 payable on booking. Balance due Friday, 8th January).
